How the Carrier Infinity® Air Purifier Works

The Infinity Air Purifier uses Carrier’s patented Captures & Kills® technology.

Airborne particles first have to travel through the HVAC system. The purifier then traps particles in its MERV 15 filter and subjects captured particles to an intense electric field. Carrier reports that the system captures 95% of particles in the 1.0–3.0 micron range flowing through the HVAC system.

Why MERV 15 Matters

MERV—or Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value—is a standard used to measure an air filter’s ability to capture particles.
